A fantastic celebration of the power of singing together - the communities of Aylward, Cannon Lane, Elmgrove, Heathland, Norbury, Pinner Park, St. Anselm's, St. Bernadette's, St. John Fisher, St. John's C of E and Stanburn Primary Schools together at the Kadwa Patidar. Over the two days of the Festival, over £640 was donated by generous families to the Red Cross Fire Relief Fund for families affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster. With thanks to Nicola Galbraith, our photographer.
Guest photographer Nicola Galbraith captures the sheer joy of singing some challenging, moving and captivating songs directed by the wonderful Jo McNally and accompanied by Tim Smith on piano, Rick Hein on Bass Guitar, Jonathan Kirwan on Guitar, Geoff Boyd on Double Bass and Dave Longman on Drum Kit and Percussion.
From Dr Seuss to Handel, these amazing singers sang their hearts out, conducted brilliantly by the wonderful Jo McNally! Thanks to Waitrose for contributing generously to the funding for this event and to all the schools who took part… How about joining Harrow Children's Choir or Harrow Youth Choir to carry on performing and learning new songs?
The students of the schools on Day Two of SongFest were just as excellent as those on Day One - congratulations to them on some wonderful performances. Again, thank you to Waitrose for contributing so generously through the John Lewis Music Matters fund. Singers - you've all passed the audition - please come and join Children's Choir (under 10) or Youth Choir (10 and over) and keep up the good work!
