Each term Harrow Music Service holds Trinity College Music Examinations at Harrow Arts Centre and Pandit Ram Sahai Sangit Vidyalaya (who specialise in Indian musical instruments) hold examinations leading to OCN Credit4Learning accredited qualifications (please see the PRSSV website).

When a student reaches the standard necessary to pass, the instrumental teacher has the option to enter a pupil for an examination, providing they have the right amount of time to prepare, support at home to practice and are not in too large a group or with other children of very different standards.

Some instrumental music teachers at Harrow Music Service enter their pupils for other music exams such as ABRSM Music Medals, ABRSM Grade Exams and RockSchool Exams.

Taking the examination offers recognition of achievement by an external awarding body and sets targets and challenges for children which can assist their progress and development.  However, they are not for all pupils and many children progress very well without entering examinations.

Types of Exams Offered:

Please contact your instrumental music teacher for more details if you would like your child to be entered for an examination.
